What is an eligible project for an eligible participant?
Examples below are for guidance only, they are not an indication of the type of community work required.
Example 1
A High School junior with first generation Romanian parents that has participated (possibly along with some of his friends) in a teacher’s assistant position supporting the Sunday school work in Romanian at his or her Church. They have played that role for an extended period of time, a few months at a minimum, and the work has been recognized by local community. Additionally, the participant has been involved in the summer camp organized by the Church along with other Romanian heritage kids.
The work description would include the number of hours worked, the number of kids benefiting from learning Romanian and their ages, along with relevant contact information for adults supervising the work.
